Ever tried hiding your email addresses with codes or scripts.
Did it work? Not for me, until I figured out an 'evil trick' to play on the spammers and their harvesters.
Here's what I tried first:
One good script that doesn't quite work:
Hiding your email with javascript , by reconstructing the html code, as the coder said "adding this script to your page will not make a difference in whether your email is harvested", since they are now using your domain names to generate guesses on email boxes.
Heres one code from EmailObfuscator
yourname@yoursite.com
<---a href="mailto:yourname@yoursite.com">yourname@yoursite.com<---/a---)
I have tried this it doesn't stop the spam. In fact I got more.
So you try this one : insert an email link on your spelled out email address: moreinfo at yoursite dot com more info at yoursite dot com and Substitute your email and site info.
Then test it. Check all your boxes, show all headers in the email you get.
Wow! This technique just generated More emails and more addresses for your boxes! You can also try the same text without adding the email link. Add just the text into the address line on your email composer to test it yourself, and send. The harvesters just copy the text into their email and there it goes. Try it you'll see.
Try this trick on the Spammers and their harvesters:
This little trick has now slowed my spam down to a trickle, and to just about none on some of the boxes that collected a lot, hundreds, of spam.
<---a href="mailto:dot%20com"--->moreinfo at yourwebsite dot com<--/a-->
When you insert the email link, edit the link by removing your site name from the html code, just leave "dot com" in it. moreinfo at yourwebsite dot com
If users really want to email you, they will copy the text and edit it.
Too much work?
Too bad. They did not really want to contact you.
And since this spam epidemic has reached worldwide, reasonable users will understand.
Don't believe me yet?
Try out the links to encoders on this site and test them throughly before installing on your websites.

In Search of Adam
Caroline has incredible journey to publication of her book "In Search of Adam".
She launched her website and a very personal blog in August, 2006, which got the attention of an editor of a new publisher, Fridays Project, from the UK not long after starting. Six Weeks?
And then! They offered her a contract! All this within a couple months!
Her book, In Search of Adam, is coming out in June 2007 in the U.K. Not only that but foreign rights are also being sold, just in: the newest, an Italian publisher: Newton Compton Editori, has bought the rights and will publish and translate in Italian.
Wow! What's her secret?
What did she use for keywords, site description, and how did she get readers/bloggers to comment?
Check out her site and her blog to follow her incredible success story: her blog
Interestingly, recent satellite infrared technology has revealed ancient caravan routes in the Sinai. George Stephen, a satellite-image analyst, discovered evidence in the satellite photographs of ancient tracks made by "a massive number of people" going "from the Nile Delta straight south along the east bank of the Gulf of Suez and around the tip of the Sinai Peninsula." He also saw huge campsites along the route, one that fits the description given in the book of Exodus (Randall Price, The Stones Cry Out, p. 137).
Could this evidence be a coincidence?
If nothing else at least it shows that a large number of people could be sustained in the same region and on the same path as that taken by the Israelites during the Exodus.

The only people who learned anything from NBC's screening of the video and posting of the pix are the mentally ill and psychotic in our midst. They found that going out hunting humans for sport and crafting videos and a sicko manifesto in support can turn you into a media superstar. This is not a wise message for television to be transmitting, however unintentional. It positively lays the groundwork for emulation, and for the network to claim otherwise is simply insincere.
NBC was wholly complicit in the promotion of a serial murderer's agenda to the point that it essentially endorsed his nutzo materials as a virtual co-production. All that Cho lacked was the funding and distribution deal for his rambling blather, and NBC was kind enough to supply it free of charge.
It even made sure the peacock logo was on the video and photos for view when it was broadcast and/or published by others. Yes -- NBC News was careful to brand the equivalent of a snuff video!
Getting tired of the Media 'Flogging' a story to death?
Bloggers are posting their disgust over the Media frenzy with the Virginia Tech mass murderer's Press Package being broadcast and picked up by all.
From My Space
NBC is responsible for any copycat shooters out there. Here they are, the hipocrits who wont show the 9/11 videos, who talk about the " verbal violence" in the culture, rubbing their hands together in glee over the scoop they have in there sweatty little paws.
They could care less about the legacy they gave this guy and any future killers who are on the edge, waiting fr validation of this kind. It just seems to me that if they were truly responsible, they would have waited to air this till maybe later in the newscast. The execs love to profit off this kind of stuff and it MAKES ME SICK.
Another disgusted blogger:
Is it just me or does anyone else think that NBC were wrong to publish the sick portfolio that was sent to them by the Virginia Tech killer in the midst of his killing spree? Media Gone Too Far?
Police handling the investigation criticized the airing from Wednesday evening of the images and rants by Cho Seung-Hui, who killed 32 people and then himself at the sprawling campus in southwestern Virginia.
State police chief Steve Flaherty said victims' families and the Virginia Tech community had been badly struck not only by tragedy but by the intense media attention surrounding it.
"Once you've seen it, its repetition is little more than pornography once that first news cycle is passed," said Jeffrey Schneider, ABC News senior vice president.Gunman's video shocks families
There is a major-push back against the wall-to-wall airing of the video that the monster who went on a rampage at Virginia Tech sent to NBC. And at least one grieving couple who will have to bury their daughter has had enough. They are calling the media out on this.Is the Public finally Getting Sick of the Media?
Virginia Tech students are reacting with “disgust, anger, shock and fear” over the multimedia package that student gunman Seung-Hui mailed to NBC.
NBC News said the pack contained photos, 27 videos and an 1,800-word diatribe. Anyway, Doctoral student Ken Stanton, 29, said he is really getting sick of the killer’s airtime– while many of the victims, like his friend Jeremy Herbstritt, remained anonymous.
“I’m sick of it,” he said. It’s like you can’t get away from it — every time I walk by a TV, there it is.” Seriously. Enough of this dude’s sick, non-human face.Virginia Tech Students Sick of Killer's Airtime

In 2002, the US Geological Survey in the Arctic Refuge Coastal plain reported the polar bear population was near historic highs. Biologist Mitchell Taylor of the Arctic community of Nunavit who tracks 13 of those colonies, says 11 are stable or thriving with populations that have increased 25%.
There are approximately 19 worldwide polar bear populations, the Fish and Wildlife action was based solely on reviewing data for only one of those populations in western Hudson Bay which has declined by 259 bears in last 17 years. The decline is due to hunting to prevent overpopulation and ironically the Canadian government is looking to increase the quota. (US Geological Survey in Arctic Refuge Coastal Plain 2002, and Dr. Mitchell Taylor, Polar Bear Biologist, Department of Environment, Government of Nunavut , Igloolik , Nunavut , Canada “Last Stand of our wild polar bears” 5/1/06)
Climate change is having an effect on the west Hudson population of polar bears, but really, there is no need to panic. Of the 13 populations of polar bears in Canada , 11 are stable or increasing in number. They are not going extinct, or even appear to be affected at present.
It is noteworthy that the neighbouring population of southern Hudson Bay does not appear to have declined, and another southern population ( Davis Strait ) may actually be over-abundant.
I understand that people who do not live in the north generally have difficulty grasping the concept of too many polar bears in an area. People who live here have a pretty good grasp of what that is like to have too many polar bears around.
This complexity is why so many people find the truth less entertaining than a good story. It is entirely appropriate to be concerned about climate change, but it is just silly to predict the demise of polar bears in 25 years based on media-assisted hysteria.

You have until April 29 to catch this great exhibit at the Met Museum in New York.
Reopening an Ancient Egyptian case - International Herald Tribune: "NEW YORK: Of all the cold cases in the art world thrillers, none beats the story of Tutankhamun's funerary chamber and the saga of the art treasures it held, recovered in what turned out to be the most important excavation ever relating to the pharaohs of Ancient Egypt."

An Egyptian archaeological delegation returned from France on Monday with remnants of hair and bandages from one of Egypt's most famous pharaohs that were nearly sold on the Internet."Stolen pharaoh's hair samples return home | NowPublic NewsFlashAn interesting side to that story is an extremely controversial mystery
that arose with the results of all that testing back then. Evidence of
both tobacco and cocaine, not just in the wrappings of the mummies, but
in the bodies and hair of these 3000+ years-old mummies.
Mystery of the Cocaine Mummies
A report from Colorado State University on the Evidence for
American Drugs in Egyptian Mummies
What's Up with the 'cocaine mummies'?
The resolution is still out on how these "New World" plants, tobacco and cocaine, could have been found in Ancient Egypt, as many dispute the possibility of trade between the two hemispheres at that time.
One researcher speculated that the tobacco she found might have been used in the ancient mummification process, and could have been from a now extinct variation of Tobacco plants that might have been grown in Africa.
One wonders what the results were from the lab these samples came from?
